Anderson was airlifted to Birmingham hospital after horrific incident at Saturday’s truck series – online race recap

Talladega, Ala. — Jordan Anderson’s number. 3 Chevrolet caught fire on lap 18 of the Chevrolet Silverado 250 on Saturday. Andresen, 31, had to exit before his truck was engulfed in flames. As he tried to slow down, Anderson hit the inside wall at the exit of Turn 2.

It appears he had unbuckled his seat belt at the time, as his truck quickly crawled out and escaped as soon as it came to a stop.

However, he was injured and was airlifted to Birmingham Regional Hospital for further assessment for burns and significant pain.

Anderson is racing the Camping World Truck Series for the fifth time this year. He’s also the team owner for the Xfinity Series, contributing all season to driver Myatt Snider.
